The imposing, two block long (!) public building that houses the General Post Office of New York City is open 24/7 including holidays. The Beaux Arts building on 8th Avenue was designed by McKim, Mead & White in 1913 and initially complemented the original Penn Station which was later -unfortunately - torn down and is now the site of Madison Square Garden.

Look up and you'll see there's a 280ft (85m) long inscription along the Corinthian colonnade facade which says :

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds".

Only in New York, I guess :)
