Beijing has got a muslim community, and most of the muslim population reside in "Niu Jie".

This mosque which is situated on Niu Jie is the oldest and biggest Islamic mosque in Beijing. It is said to be built in A.D. 996.

The architectural style of this site is a fusion of traditional Chinese and Arabic. The buildings look Chinese (tiles, use of wood, red pillars etc), but the decoration and motifs on the buildings are Arabic.
