"Central Park Landmarks" Central Park - Statues Tip by TexasDave

Central Park - Statues, New York City: 22 reviews and 77 photos

Central Park has the only statue in all of New York City dedicated to an animal! "Dedicated to the indomitable spirit of the sled dogs that relayed antitoxins 660 miles over rough ice, across treacherous waters, through Arctic blizzards from Nenana to the relief of stricken Nome in the winter of 1925."
A big hit with the kids, as there was a cartoon movie on the subject that came out in 1995.

The Alice in Wonderland statue is another kid's favorite.

Another fun family activity is the sailboat rentals.
