The original version of Palazzo Paradiso dates to the 14th century while its present formwas rebuilt between the 15th and 16th centuries. Today it houses The Ariostea Library with over 200.000 books, as well as the manuscripts, incunabula and autograph manuscripts of Ariosto, Tasso and other important Ferrarese writers.
In the room, dedicated to Lodovico Ariosto, there is the tomb of great poet with the funerary monument by Aleotti.
