  Roter Turm and Fountain

The last remaining part of Chemnitz's city wall is the Roter Turm (Red Tower). It was built in the 12th century and was partly used as a dungeon. Today, it serves as a museum (which, however, never seems to be open...). You can follow a small line on the ground to see where the actual city wall used to be.
Btw, sorry for the bad picture, but the tower is surrounded by so many ugly buildings that a better picture is hard to take!
