The Royal Canadian Mint's Winnipeg processing plant was completed in 1976. The building itself from the outside is a spectacular quasi pyramid shaped structure with two sides being made up of mirrored windows.

Most Canadian coins are minted here (surprise, surprise). But, The Mint also mints coins for other countries such as Australia, Cuba, and New Zealand to name a few.

In fact, The Mint competes against other Mints internationally for contracts and has produced coins and coin blanks for over 60 countries.

The tour of the processing plant is defintely worth taking.
