Favorite thing: Because of its location on the Derwent River and with easy access to the Southern Ocean, you can see why Hobart developed a large fishing community. From personal watercraft loaded with trout gear, to yacht charters for deep sea fishing, to commercial lobster boats, the harbor downtown is a great place to see the fishing lifestyle.
You can definitely benefit from the hard work of these hard working fishers... just go down to one of the great restaurants and order yourself a plate of fish, served anyway you like!
