"Southbound" Scotland Favorite Tip by shivan

Favorite thing: Just landed in Scrabster, and sadly aware that more than a half of my journey in Scotland was behind me, I turned my car towards south again, next stop: Inverness.
I remember that place as the northest reaching in my previous wanderings in Scotland, it was a sunny afternoon, and I feared that I'd have found it under a dense cloudy sky.
Just following the A9, along the coastline, I came across a number of wonderful small village. Including the one where this beautiful castle/mansion/whatever is visible directly from the road. I think it was Brora, but not sure. Anyone could help?
