"Disneyland" Disneyland Tip by Sammyfloyd

Disneyland, Hong Kong: 56 reviews and 135 photos

The Hong Kong Disneyland will open officially September 12. I was able to go at the end of August during one of the test days. Here are my brief comments and I hope they may help you if you go:

General--the park is smaller than most of the other Disneys, and there are overall less to play with and small to walk around. Therefore, if you plan your day correctly, you should be able play most of the activities you want.

You can make 4 reservations per day using your ticket at the FASTPASS machines so you can come back to a ride later without waiting. There are limitations as to how many reservations you can have outstanding at the same time. The FASTPASS ticket will give you more information.

Suggested Itin: go early, don't take pictures (you have time for that later), ride or reserve for Winnie the Pooh (most crowded), go see the 4-D movie, ride Space Mountain, see the Lion King show, then see what else fancies you. The boat rides are only so-so. Watch the fireworks at 9 pm.

Food is expensive for Hong Kong standards but reasonable if you are used to theme park prices. There is not enough seating areas so beware.

Address: Lantau Island
Directions: Disneyland
