Walk right down Barrack Street from Perth's city centre and you will come to Old Perth Port - the departure point for the ferries and river cruise boats that travel up and down (and across) the Swan. Here you'll find booking offices for the various companies that operate on the river as well as the Bell Tower, cafes and restaurants - pleasant places to while away an hour or two, watching the cormorants and the water; souvenir shops; sculptures of the swans that give the river its name and more.

Directions: Walk, catch the free Blue CAT bus, hop off the tourist tram that stops here or stop for a while as you cycle the riverside path.
