Who loves Canadian Football? I do! I do! If you follow the CFL at all this is a great reason to stop in Hamilton. It doesn't only include the CFL though. There is Junior football in Canada included as well. It won't take long to go through but it's still worth a look.

Since 1963, the Hall of Fame has collected equipment and artifacts which have accumulated into a collection that contains over 30,000 different football related items from the early 1900's to the present. Today the Canadian Football Hall of Fame offers the busts of colour slides of retired players, television tapes of memorable plays, push button computers with Canadian football trivia, photographs of each Grey Cup game since 1909, instructional diagrams of football plays, displays of new and old equipment, and a 100 seat theatre where previous Grey Cups movies are shown.

There are two real highlights of the museum. One is the room that has all the busts of the players and builders inducted into the hall. The second, is the Grey Cup. In 1909, the Grey Cup was donated by the then Governor General of Canada, Lord Earl Grey, to recognize the top amateur rugby football team in Canada. Over time, the Grey Cup became the property of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Admission to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame is $3. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30am - 6:30pm.
