  Loch Duich

Loch Duich is a sea loch on the west coast of Scotland. It's most well known as the setting of the Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie, but the loch is a delightful place in its own right. My photo was taken from a small village called Ratagan which is on the south side of the loch, approached by a minor road from Shiel Bridge -- this was actually the view from the bedroom window -- would be nice to wake up to that view every morning ...

Directions: On the A87, going east from Kyle of Lochalsh.
