At the „Kletterwald Pöhl“, close to Plauen, you can show how fit you are. You can climb through the wood on ropes ad boards – nothing for you if you do not have a good head for heights. They offer four different levels: “Spaß” (fun) for warming-up and children, one to two metres above the ground. “Fitness” is two to four metres high and a kind of “entrance fee” for the more difficult levels. “Abenteuer” (adventure) is four to six metres high, for “Risiko” (risk) you need to be fit for climbing up to ten metres on ropes.
Equipment: Of course you should wear good shoes and casual clothes. At the weekends there’s a lot of “traffic” there, so you better got there in the week. Open from 25th March to 17th June, 12th September to 31st October from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Friday to Saturday and daily on holidays of Thuringia, Bavaria and Saxonia. From 18th June to 11th September open daily from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. If you are more than ten persons you should call before. Price for adults 14 Euro, for teenagers until 16 years 12 Euro, children until12 years 8 Euro, special rates for familys. You can stay there for 150 minutes.
