i read somewhere that it's really nice and quiet inside the sule paya.. so, we decided to take a short walk there from chinatown.. when we got there, before we could go in, there were shopkeepers waiting to pounce on tourists at every entrance.. the thing is everyone is required to take off their shoes when entering a temple.. here, they will force u to put your shoes / slippers with them and then either charge u for the 'service' or ask u to buy their wares.. we were so put off by the shopkeepers, we decided to give the place a miss.. anyway, it looks quite good fr the outside.. and it's surrounded by lots of very interesting colonial buildings..

Directions: u'll see it on the sule pagoda road where the traders hotel is..
