  The Bhojan Grija restaurant
by Saagar

Your last full day - time for a long breakfast. If you are still in Nagarkot or Dhulikhel, enjoy the view! Then return to Kathmandu.
The breakfast options at Mike's Breakfast in Naxal are recommendable. A fairly simple, but good one can also be at Northfields in Thamel. Or at your hotel. Visit Pilgrim's Bookstore (others, too!) in Thamel for good books on Nepal, postcards and other shopping, too. Or Durbar Marg for upmarket shopping. Visit a thanka painting centre to see this fantastic technique. Your hotel will know where to go. Top off your central Kathmandu leisure round in Kathmandu with a noon time chicken chilli snack and Everest beer on a rooftop terrace at one of the Thamel restaurants. Or have a French-Nepali rounding off at the renovated palace Babar Mahal Revisited toward Thapathali part of town later in the afternoon (need car/taxi). As rush hour nears, stroll in the crowds of Asan and see locals shopping at their local market, and with a map and guidebook see the living temple courtyards of old Kathmandu a bit up in side streets from Indra and Asan Chowk. Return to your hotel aftr a leisurely day, rinse off the dust of the day, do some crude packing readying for tomorrow's departure, get into some better clothes and move on to Bhojan Grija restaurant, the Vajra (or another of the same kind) for an upmarket Nepali/Newari meal including some excellent professional dancing and music performance. An alternative is a ditto Tibetan evening. A nightcap in Thamel might always be on the agenda, perhaps cool it at New Orleans jazz cafe there or at Upstairs Jazz for live music in Lazimpat.
Phew, you have had three active days! The three cities of Kathmandu, key religious sites, Himalayan views, cottage industries, city scapes, bazaar areas, culinary aspects, arts and shopping - all covered!

Directions: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Dhulikhel/Nagarkot
