"Private landing ground" Sasko Jezero Off The Beaten Path Tip by JLBG

Sasko Jezero Off The Beaten Path: 6 reviews and 6 photos

We found a large house, built on a rock, with, on the rear, a large wooden terrace that overlooked a wide flat space (background of the photo). No lake ! A pair of Guinea fowls was standing on the fence of the terrace. I guess they were not for dinner !

We ordered dinner (we had no lunch !) and talked with the waiter. He explained us that the lake was 500 m away, at the end of the flat meadow, where we could see tall reeds but that in winter, for 2 month, it covered the whole meadow with one meter of water and reached then the house ! He showed us an album of photos with all this water, some as aerial views. We understood that they practiced a great deal of microlight flying and that, as their meadow was only flooded 2 month a year, it made a perfect private landing ground for 10 month !
