This is one of the most popular areas in Hong Kong. Occupying the southern part of Kowloon, most people when they come to Hong Kong stay here. On Lower Nathan Road, it's nicknamed the golden mile, but in some ways it's also the tourist ghetto. Five star hotels mix with seedy guethouses. Expensive shopping malls and family owned dim sum and Cantonese restaurants. To me, this mix of people and food represents the real Hong Kong. It's not gleaming pretty and clean, like Singapore or even Hong Kong Island.

I wouldy highly recommend finding a dim sum or restaurant that overlooks the harbor. You have better views from this side. There are lots of camera and electronic shops on Nathan Road.

Address: Nathan, Salisbury Streets and Kowloon Park Drive
