The Singapore Zoo, spread over 28 hectares, is considered world class with over 3200 animals from 250 species. It is a “natural” zoo that uses natural barriers such as streams, rock walls, etc. to separate the visitors from the animals. It was one of the nicer zoos I have visited.

Start the day by having breakfast with the Orangutans. Then enjoy one of the shows: Elephant Show, Sea Lion Show, or Spirit of the Rainforest. Wear comfotable clothes and shoes and enjoy the day!

See the giraffes, elephants and beautiful white tigers. Spend time watching the antics of the chimpanzees and orangutans.

Operating Hours are 8:30-6:00. Cost is SGD 15 for adults. You can also buy combo tickets that include the Jurong Bird Park and/or Night Safari. There is an additional charge for the tram, pony, and elephant rides.

Directions: Take the MRT to Choa Chu Kang Station (NS4), then board SMRT Bus 927 which takes you all the way to the zoo. Or take the MRT to Ang Mo Kio Station (NS16), then board SBS bus 138.
