GET ACCLAIMATED..Paris is divided up into arrondissments or districts...if you look at this map arrondissment 1 is in the center and if you think of it as a corkscrew going clockwise in numerical order...then you have a handle on the basic Paris 'floorplan'. This will make referencing the guidebook and rectifying it on the map easier when the subject od ARRONDISSMENTS comes up...it WILL come up often.
