You cannot avoid the fake Irish pubs, even in Istanbul. In fact there are quite a few but the best and most popular is the James Joyce Pub. It actually looks authentic and even had Irish people hanging around. There is nightly entertainment in the form of what I would call a mix of rock and Turkish folk music which can be interesting.
