Granada Things to Do: 984 reviews and 1,861 photos
This impressive statue commemorates the occasion of Christopher Columbus asking permission from Queen Isobel to set sail for foreign lands.
The statue is located in a square - Plaza de Isobel Catolica, which is at the busy junction of Via De Colon / Calle Reyes Catolicas and Pavaneras Santa Escolastica.
Underneath the statue, are small fountains.
So, it is very near to the Cathedral and Palace, as well as Plaza Nueva, Carbon, Plaza Bib Rambla ,etc!
As you can see from my pictures, this area is a mix of old and modern architectural buildings, that seem to blend together quite well.
Address: Plaza Isobel, Granada
Directions: At Cathedral end of Via De Colon- a few metres in front You'll spot the statue!
