Beer Lao is the national beer of Laos. It's a very light and refreshing, which is nice on a hot day. They don't sell it outside of Laos, so if you want some for your friends-take some with you. If you come to Vientiane via friendship bridge you will pass the large and modern Beer Lao brewing facility into town.
