The King's Arms Tavern: "Simple Elegance" Williamsburg Restaurant Tip by KennyB
Williamsburg Restaurants: 88 reviews and 89 photos
Known in colonial times as the restaurant where the elite meet and eat. The atmosphere at this premier tavern is one of simple elegance, one that befits the statesmen and gentry who often dined here.
The King's Arms menus feature items that range from Peanut Soup and A Grand Mushroom to Game Pye and Roast Prime Rib of Beef.
Favorite Dish: Do not leave this restaurant without ordering the roast prime rib of beef. The wonderful food all but made up for the slow service at this restaurant. We were seated for more than 45 minutes before our first course was served. Be prepared for a wait and a long dinner of 2 hours. Do not schedule anything after your dinner, for you may not arrive in time.
Address: Duke of Gloucester Street, opposite Raleigh Tavern
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Casual attire.Reservations Recommended calling 1-800-TAVERNS or (757) 229-2141.
