  Another well preserved Renaissance palace
by hundwalder

Prague is filled with excellent well preserved Renaissance and Baroque architecture. This 500 year old former palace and others like it are located near the banks of the Vltava River, about 600 meters north of the Vysehrad complex.

The " cascading " gold plate style facade covering the front roof gable is classical high Baroque, while most of the exterior is Renaissance. The two identical half timbered rooms on each side of facade base have parabaloid roofs, and resemble ornate medieval guardposts.

The laundry hanging on the guard fence of the central balcony added a nice touch of color to my photo. This particular palace is now an apartment building and therefore, tours of the interior are not available. Feel free to admire the exteriors of these grand old historical buildings.

Better description of location later.
