1914 Renaissance Revival mansion built by the founder of the Oregonian newspaper. It was abandoned by the family in the 50's but saved by the city. It offers a good look into how the well-to-do lived about 100 years ago and the best views you will get of the city, including views of Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, and even Mount Rainer. Don't miss the Gatehouse where the caretaker of the property lived. It's a lot smaller and kind of tight to move around but is also well restored.

Address: 3229 NW Pittock Drive
Directions: Just north of Washington Park off Cornell; follow the signs
