Piazza Cavour is the city's main square where the city's municipal buildings are located. The square was redesigned at the end of the 16th century and the statue of Pope Paul V has stood in the centre of the square next to the fountain since 1614.

The square hosts the city's main market every Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
