The Apple Market of Covent Garden is not only a place to buy unique stuff but also a very colorful place. On Sundays, you can enjoy recitals and they do sound great with that great acustic of the market. See the stalls, browse the shops and go downstairs to see the oldest toy shop there.

A bit further, you'll find the Jubilee Market. It's generally the same idea but bigger. The prices might be a bit more reasonable and you might find more variety and goods that are a bit less unique

When you're done, hang around to see one-man circus shows and such...

Enjoy!
