Fairview Inn and other accomodation info: "Central guesthouse overlooking the rice terraces" Banaue Hotel Tip by trisanna

Located a little out of town, but on the main road. Maybe a 10 to 15 minute walk to town. The nice gray stucco building has large balconies that overlook the town and rice terraces. The rooms are clean, but basic. Our room was 3C-the blue room on the second floor facing the terraces. The bathrooms are very basic, but have limited hot water. In the evening, we had a mouse in the room, which tried to eat some of our snacks. We paid 600 pesos for our room. Around $10USD.
There isn't much good accomodation in Banaue. There is the more expensive and bland Banaue hotel, which the Lonely Planet guidebook describes as very institutional. There are basic guesthouses in the city. Outside the area with views of the terraces, is the Native village Inn, which has great views and you stay in replica Ifugao dwellings. We didn't stay here, but saw pictures of it at the tourist information centre. This hotel is 45 minutes outside town on the way to Bontoc.
You can also hike and stay in the city of Batad. They have guesthouses there.
Comparison: about average
Price: less than US$20
