As with any city with any sort of tourist infrastructure at all, Baltimore has its share of restaurants that feed off of the unsuspecting tourist who doesn't know any better.

I would recommend reading through the Baltimore posts on chowhound, http://www.chowhound.com/midatlantic/boards/dc/dc.html before your trip, but please do not post a question regarding finding crabs at the Inner Harbor. That is asked about once a week.

As with my previous trip, you won't even be at the Inner Harbor, but if you are there, wait to eat somewhere else. (If you must eat there, go to Afghan Kabob on the corner of Charles and Lombard Sts.)

I would also avoid the following places outside of Harborplace:

Rusty Scupper
Cafe Hon
Bo Brooks
most places in Litty Italy

Unique Suggestions: If you want to go to one of these places, stickk with getting a drink or just an appetizer, and save your money and calories for something worthy!

Fun Alternatives: Head over to Greektown (Samos and Zorba's especially) instead of Little Italy, Fells Point, or the Harbor. It's not as well known as these other places, but it's great and more interesteing.

In Fells Point, try Duda's, or go to Upper Broadway, a few blocks north, and eat at the numerous Central American places.
