"The Gross-Rosen Museum in RogoŸnica" Wojewodztwo Dolnoslaskie Off The Beaten Path Tip by dutchboycalledjan
Wojewodztwo Dolnoslaskie Off The Beaten Path: 3 reviews and 3 photos
This former concentration camp of the Nazi's impressed us by its solemn emptyness. Only the main entrance, foundations and monument are left of this large camp in former Germany. When we visited, there were no tourist except us and that added to the impression.
This was the main site of a camp that was distributed all over Silesia.
In the museum - which was closed - there was shown a short film in English about the camp.
The village RogoŸnica is situated 7 km from Strzegom (by state road No. 374 Strzegom - Legnica). Turn left (from the direction of Strzegom) in the village, about 2 km, suddenly on your right hand side.
