"Venetian - The ceiling of the Grand Foyer." The Venetian Hotel & Casino Tip by Jerelis
The Venetian Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas: 125 reviews and 271 photos
The theme continues inside as ceilings are covered with hand-painted re-creations of Venetian art. The ceiling of the Grand Foyer is painted a la the Sistence Chapel and it costed 2 billion dollar on craftsmanship.
But the real attraction here is the Grand Canal Shoppes. The area is a mock Italian village with a cloud-covered, everchanging Venetian sky painted overhead. Down the middle runs a replica of Venices Grand Canal where visitors can take a gondola ride with a singing gondolier under a replica of the Bridge of Sighs.
