Fort Randolph at Krodel Park in Point Pleasant ws officially dedicated by WV Governor Arch Moore on 10-10-1974 on the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Point Pleasant.
It was originally built in 1776 at the poin where the Ohio and the Kanawha Rivers Meet. It was a well known outpost throughout the colonies and stood to prevent attacks on the colonies from the west during the first three years of the American Rev.
It also played a significant role to prevent an Indian Alliance with the British during the American Rev.
Visit the Fort Randolph Museum and get a close up look at the many artificats on display.
