  Water Cay, Utila

On the south-west side of the Island are little cays. One is covered completely by a village, some others are privately owned and some can be visited (for one or more days).
The dive shops offer transportation when there is a small group together.
We went to Water Cay with no avilable accomodation on a day trip. Snorcheling is good, You can almost walk to the next island (which is privately owned) or just enjoy a Robinson Cusoe feeling.

Bring tons of insect-repellent, or even better: cover Youself in baby oil as there are millions of nasty sandflies (they slide off the oil).

Address: By boat from Utila
