In the course of history Pomerania often passed from hand to hand. As the result - when you travel in this part of Poland you may be surprised at the variety of architecture and cultural differences.
Nowadays the Polish coastline is above 500 km long. It's rather regular with just a few bays. It has plenty of seaside resorts like Miedzyzdroje, Kolobrzeg, Leba, Hel, Sopot - to mention just a few. The typical features of our coastline are wide sandy beaches, dunes, pine forests and lighthouses. Sea breeze contains a lot of iodine, that's why stay at the seaside is recommended to those who suffer from respiratory illnesses.
To find a piece of amber is no longer an easy thing to do, but shells are in abundance. However, if you are really keen on looking for amber, you should hunt for it early in the morning (4 a.m.), just after the storm.
