I can't really miss this - as both my youngest brother and my grandfather are named Todor.

Todorovden (St Theodore) is the first Sunday of Lent (5 weeks before Easter ), and is also known as Horse Easter. On this day, the lore says, St Todor tied down his horse and went to God to ask for Summer. Everythign in this day is connected somehow with horses.

Horse races (kushija) for young boys and men, where the entire village/town participates. Women wash their hair to be strong and long as a horse mane. The bread is baked in the form of a horseshoe.

On this day celebrate people named Todor, Todora, Teodor, Teodora,Dora.
