"Watch a cooking demonstration" Alaska Things to Do Tip by karenincalifornia

My husband and I love to cook and even exchange recipes for fun. When we were looking for ways to entertain ourselves on one of the days we spent the whole day at sea, we attended a cooking demonstration by the head chef at the ship's premier restaurant - Pinnacles. The chef was very funny, and the demo was entertaining. I learned a better way to dice onions as we were cruising the Inside Passage.
You pay for the entire cruise upfront, but "extras" are back-end loaded and charged to your credit card when you leave. Cruise ships have a way about dinging you with "extras". It is surprising how big the bill is when you check out, particularly if you order alcoholic drinks.
This cooking demo was free, but if I wanted to see more cooking demos, I could only attend them if I paid a "modest fee". I took a pass.
