"House of the Vestal Virgins" Roman Forum - Temple of the Vesta - Vestal Virgins Tip by Willettsworld


The House of the Vestal Virgins was the living quarters of the priestess and the Vestals. This enormous complex of 50 rooms was once annexed to the Temple. Best preserved are the rooms overlooking a pretty courtyard, ornamented with statues of Vestals, ponds of waterlilies and rose trees.
