"Watch a movie under the stars in Kings Park" Kings Park Tip by sunshinejo
Kings Park, Perth: 110 reviews and 200 photos
Kings Park is huge recreational area located just to the west of the city centre. Much of the park is wild, native bushland, but there are also some really lovely grassy areas for people to relax in, and some fabulous views over Perth. If you ask me, no visit to Perth is complete without a trip to King's Park!
I did it in the form of a trip to the Moonlight Cinema, which is located within the park during the summer months. If, like me, you've never been to an open-air cinema before, then I'd definitly recommend this as a cool new way to spend an evening. The gates open at 6pm, although the film itself isn't shown until sundown, and tickets cost $14.50 for adults and $10 for children aged 5-15. There's food and drink available to buy once you're there, but a better way to do it is to come prepared with a picnic and a bottle of wine! There are also bean bags available for hire ($6 plus a $10 refundable deposit), or you can bring picnic blankets, cushions or low beach chairs with you. For a trip to the cinema with a difference and a really enjoyable night out, then this is it!
