City landmarks, The Hague: 36 reviews and 43 photos

The financial blunder of The Hague, that is how you can issue the Tramtunnel, at Prinsengracht. To build this only 1250m tunnel in the centre of The Hague a lot of unlucky come-downs passed by. Including making water several times in the tunnel.

The more than 300 million Euro costs for only 2 tram tunnels, and the 4 years behind schedule opening at 16 October 2004 made this tunnel inimitable, and legendary! So it's official name of "Souterrain" (Basement Floor) has quickly changed by the locals into "Tramtanic" and "Swim Tunnel". Go for a ride with tram line 2, 3 and 6!
