I liked the pizza here, and I liked the people that worked here.
I was served a delicious slice of pepperoni by "Pizza Lisa," a real sweetheart and very knowledgeable North Beach regular.
She was really kind, had lots of good info, stories, and tips about the area, and she even knew Leti from Marios Bohemian, as Lisa used to work there also.
And the pizza was good too. Slices were very cheap, maybe only a couple bucks, very tasty in the Sicilian style cut in squares on a tray that is somewhere between the thin/crispy NY and the fat Chicago style.
A great stop for a snack and some conversation. Say hi to Pizza Lisa for me and please thank her for the excellent dinner tip (Sodini's).
Favorite Dish: The pepperoni was the only one I had. It was delicious, real deal, bigtime pizza.
Good cheap eats
And I thought they have good taste in music too. Where else can you chomp along with Doug Sahm and the Texas Tornadoes?
(RIP Doug & Freddy) :(
