Warren Reese, the Montgomery mayor who from 1885-1889 helped the city build both an electric street car system and this beautiful Court Square fountain. Topped by a statue of Hebe, Goddess of Youth and Cupbearer to the Gods, the fountain was built in 1885 over an existing artesian basin.
