This one of the oldest state funded archives in the nation, which was built in the 1940's. It houses a wonderful museum, galleries, exhibits and a huge genealogical facility. Plus, they have a wonderful place for the little ones called, "Grandma's Attic!

Admission is FREE

Open Monday through Friday 8:00am ? 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am ? 5:00pm. Reference closed on Mondays.

Directions: Going East on I-85 exit left onto Union St, turn left again on Washington and it is right next door to the Confederate White House and accross from the Capitol Building.
