"Top of the Stratosphere" Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower Tip by galge

We had to walk a good ways from the last Monorail stop to the Stratosphere. This would not have been a problem had it not been 117 degrees. The heat from the pavement is like an oven. We were there in the am and there were not a lot of other people. We had to wait for others to ride some of the rides. The equipment was so hot the employees were using gloves. The view from the tower is awesome, its like going to the empire state building. The Big Shot rides that shoots you up even farther in the air was a lot of fun, but the rollercoaster was lame, even though it hangs on the edge of the building. The most frightening ride is by far the Scream. This ride hangs you over the edge of the tower, more than 1,000 ft. in the air. Just when you think its over, the ride slips forward as if its going off the track. I was terrified watching my husband do this, and no one else in the tower was willing to ride it with him.

Address: 2000 Las Vegas Boulevard South
Directions: The stratosphere is located at the northern most point of the strip, a good walk from the last monorail stop. If it hadn't been hot, the walk would have been fine. Its not in a pretty area of Vegas.
