Da Pecorino: "Pizza, cheese and wine" Pecorino Tip by baronedivandastad

Pecorino, Rome: 2 reviews and 5 photos

This place extends on three floors in the heart of the Testaccio area in Southern Rome.

It opened recently with a very decent offer of typical roman food, including pasta, pizza, cheese, meat and a small but very well-thought wine list. Try also their red beer, Moretti La Rossa, one of Italy's best brews. Beware: it's 7.8%, so don't overdo it, especially in the heat.

The service is friendly and informal, but can get a bit slow during rush hour, which is pretty much every evening especially in the summer.

For an average dinner you should expect to get out with around 20-25 euros, which these days isn't bad at all.

Favorite Dish: Pasta alla gricia and red wine!

Address: Via Galvani, 64
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: To get there take the B metro to Piramide, then walk 10 minutes, turnleft on Via Marmorata, then left again at the fire station into Via Galvani, then right to the end, it's the last place on the left. Book in advance at weekends.
