Clipped Yews and fountain behind Hampton Court
by no1birdlady

Hampton Court is an imposing structure but I was most impressed with the beautiful gardens in the back of it. The Yew trees have been clipped into pyramid shapes. Paths are laid out like spokes radiating out from the house. And there are a lot of ponds and canals between them. I enjoyed phlox, geraniums, Yellow Cone Flower, and Dusty Miller which filled the beds. It was also a good place to look at birds. I saw Magpies, Com. Black-headed Gulls, Carrion Crows, Wood Pigeons, Pied Wagtails, Rose-ringed Parakeets, Mute Swans, Coots, Tufted Ducks, Blue Tit, and others.
