Mountain View in the lake District

The lake District of England is a very scenic area of mountains, lakes and forests. Part of it has been preserved as a national park. There are a lot of hiking trails through the area and all of it is good for looking at birds. We saw an eagle here and a kestrel. Jackdaws are common and we found a bush with both Coal Tit and Blue Tit in it.
Much of the area is pasture with scenic rock walls for the sheep. Hardwick Sheep are the local sheep. They change their color through their lives. They start out white then change to dark with every color in between. We saw a lot of them here that are mottled and some are solid black. They produce a tough wool used for carpets.
