"See the Pope!!!" Vatican - Papal Audience Tip by CDNgirl

Vatican - Papal Audience, Rome: 23 reviews and 41 photos

On most Wednesdays, the Pope makes a speech and gives a blessing that the general public can attend. My friend and I were not Catholic so we were a little concerned when we were told we need to see a Vatican Bishop for the ticket to get in. He was very pleasant, chatted with us about where we were from and gave us our passes. We had to be at St. Peters Square about 8 am with it starting at 9:30. He gave his message in at least 5 different languages and I couldn't help but be impressed with him speaking for so long in the hot Roman sun at his age. It was a great, unique experience that I think everyone, of any religion, should have.
