  Chequers Inn, Woolsthorpe

I have been here a couple of times now with Steve on special occasions. The food is utterly fantastic, it's very cosy and booking is highly advisable.

It's ideally located for dinner if you've been visiting Belvoir Castle during the day.

The Chequers is a 17th century coaching inn situated in the picturesque Vale of Belvoir. Roaring log fires in winter and lovely gardens in summer. En suite accommodation in the converted stable block. The restaurant is Michelin rated and specialises in local produce. Warm and friendly welcome.

£60-70 would get you a fantastic 3-course meal with drinks for two people.

Favorite Dish: The menu changes regularly but whatever you have will be fantastic.
