  Jerry's Now and Then: Amelia
by b1bob

Lee is a sucker for antiques. On a hot day in July, we toured Amelia Courthouse on the way down to Lakefest in Clarksville. Lee was looking for old political buttons which he collects. For me, it was good just to be in the air conditioning. However, I liked the atmosphere of the little antique shop as well as the ambient smell of unlit tobacco. The guy who worked there was very friendly as one would expect in a small town. They did not have the buttons Lee was looking for, but they get them every so often and he invited us to check back again.
