"Museum Maximus" Balboa Park Tip by CDNgirl

Balboa Park, San Diego: 125 reviews and 261 photos

Balboa Park is so culturally rich and each museum is conviently within walking distance of each other. Easily spend the whole day with your 'passport'( buy it before starting to get discounts into many museums) to wander through the park soaking in the history and culture of San Diego. Often the site of weekend exhibits and festivals there is always something going on here, and the site itself is just beautiful!!
My favorite is the Aerospace Museum which covered the history of flight and a special 'nod' to Charles Lindbergh, whose plane, The Spirit of St Louis, was assembled here. When I was last there, throughout the museum there were tributes and histories of women in aviation. Lots to see, I need to go back!!

Address: 1549 El Prado
Directions: Tough to miss, its ajacent to I-5 and 163. Its next to the San Diego Zoo, and has many different access points, north east of downtown.
